Wish Celebration Volunteer
Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Make-A-Wish Illinois has 52 children in Chicago's South side who have been diagnosed with a critical illness and are waiting for their wish to be granted. This means we have an urgent need for Wish Celebration Volunteers, like you, to bring joy to our wish kids TODAY! Wish Celebration Volunteers work in pairs, partnering to establish a meaningful connection with our wish children and families to build hope and anticipation leading up to the wish. The average assignment requires 1-2 hours each month, over the course of 1-6 months. Time investment typically includes coordinating with and getting to know the wish child and family, coordinating with your volunteer partner, and planning/carrying out boosts, send-offs, countdowns, and celebrations.
